Each downloadable demo at this site is in an auto-extractable compressed format.

The actual file that you download will be have a filename such as DSS or FFF and will have an extension of .EXE, for example NLDEMO.EXE, DSS.EXE, or FFF.EXE.

Before downloading, you should decide into which folder on your hard disk you wish to download the file, because your browser will ask you where you wish to place the file and you must specify a location.

Once you have downloaded the demo to your computer to a specific folder, use of the demo requires the following two steps:

1. AUTOEXTRACT: Use Windows Explorer to find the file in the folder to which you downloaded the file, then double-click the file in order to auto-extract the contents of the downloaded file. This will result in an INSTALL program file and another compressed file.

 

2. INSTALL: Double-click the INSTALL file from Windows Explorer. The INSTALL program will install the program to your choice of hard disk/ folder.

Important note: If you download more than 1 demo at a time, please do not try to auto-extract (Step 1 above) more than 1 demo into the same folder. If you do, you will overwrite the INSTALL program of the previously extracted demo. You must instead either download different demos to different folders on your hard disk, or, once they are downloaded into the same folder, copy/move them to different folders before auto-extracting them.
